2011 HARVEST REPORT
Across Mendoza, yields were down approximately 20% due to some early season Zonda winds and late frosts in October.
Rainy weather in FebruarY, approximately 75% higher than average, delayed the harvest by about two weeks, but did not decrease quality of the fruit.
As is typical when yields are low, the quality of the 2011 harvest was excellent with more concentrated fruit.
This decrease in supply coupled with the high quality drove grape prices up, with increases as high as 50% over the previous year.
